Business Studies

Vision statement

Studying Business will enable students to gain a holistic understanding of business and how to set up and run their own. As they develop from GCSE to A level we want students to gain a critical understanding of organisations and their ability to meet society’s needs and wants across topics such as marketing and finance. Our aim is for students to generate enterprising and creative approaches to business opportunities, problems and issues, be more aware of the responsibilities and ethical challenges of running organisations, and help students develop skills such as decision making, problem solving, and critical analysis. We want students to utilise their own context from local, national and international news stories to local businesses and their own customer purchasing habits to bring business to life.
