Swan geographers are encouraged to develop their understanding of the complex world around them, by learning about complex issues and relevant case studies, from different perspectives.

As an interdisciplinary subject, studying Geography at A-level enhances students’ understanding of the relationship between physical science and the human world.

Studying A-level Geography will involve a residential field trip at the end of Year 12 or beginning of Year 13. Students will complete a minimum of four days of fieldwork throughout the course and we will ask for a voluntary contribution towards the cost of this. Students may also apply for the Sixth Form bursary to help with this cost.
